Nestled in the heart of Lake Charles, The Wine Store is more than a shop—it’s an experience. Since opening in 2008, the locally owned store has grown from a small retail space into a vibrant wine boutique, bar, and event venue, creating something truly unique for Southwest Louisiana. Guests can explore a thoughtfully curated selection of wines from around the world, sip by the glass or bottle at the bar, and enjoy house-made charcuterie boards. Weekly tastings welcome both seasoned collectors and curious newcomers to discover new favorites. Community is at the heart of The Wine Store. Each year, they partner with Family & Youth’s Children’s Advocacy Center to host Tasting on the Terrace, a premier event supporting abused and neglected children. They also uplift fellow small businesses through partnerships and promotions that strengthen SWLA’s culture. Above all, The Wine Store is approachable, warm, and welcoming—a place to relax, connect, and enjoy great wine without pretense.
