Mallett Buildings
Chester “Lee” Mallett is a respected businessman and community leader in Southwest Louisiana. He has founded multiple companies, including one of only four truss manufacturing plants in the state, and has served on the Louisiana Citizens Insurance Company Board (2006–2009) and the State License Board of Contractors since 2010.
In 2008, Mallett created The Academy of Training Skills (ATS), a first-of-its-kind program offering non-violent, non-sexual offenders an alternative to prison. Housing up to 200 cadets, ATS provides certified skills training entirely funded through tuition, helping participants build careers while easing strain on the correctional system. Plans are underway to expand ATS statewide.
Mallett Buildings specializes in post-frame construction, accessory buildings, and barndominiums, pairing personal service with advanced techniques. The company donates thousands annually to charities, schools, and individuals—continuing Mallett’s mission to create jobs, strengthen communities, and change lives through both business and service.
