With the expertise of learning to cook from a young age, Yvette Buffi Kocik founded Buffi’s: a New Orleans inspired Peauxboys shop at the heart of Southwest Louisiana. After Yvette had her sister Paige Vidrine take over the business, Paige’s marketing expertise and unbeatable worth ethic had fully established Buffi’s in the lake area. Paige began to branch out in her community efforts after the devastation of Hurricane Laura. She created one of the largest restaurant centered food drives, the first mural festival, the SWLA yoga fest, one of the biggest mural projects in the Lake Area, and raised $45,000 for the homeless. Paige believes Buffi’s is more than a restaurant. It’s a platform for the values of community, loyalty, honor and charity. The business is not about one person. It’s about what’s driven those who created what Buffi’s is today. The staff, the community, the leadership, all of them make Buffis Peauxboys.
